Stevenson Oaks prepares to open its doors to eager residents.
Sixty years after the dream of MRC came into reality, the dream of Stevenson Oaks will also come into reality. The Fort Worth community will open its doors in the Spring of 2022 to hundreds of eager residents.
The Executive Directors and Healthcare Administrators from across the organization had the chance to take a hardhat tour of the community in late 2021 along with MRC’s Executive Team.
Stacey Nehring, Executive Director of The Langford had this to say, “I am so excited for the Stevenson Oaks team! I remember when we opened The Langford in 2018, there was so much anticipation, activity and excitement. It is a special time where you really seem to bond with your teammates and with your residents. Those who can say, ‘I was there in the beginning’ will always have an extra-special bond.”
The community began building relationships with one another long before the doors will open. The future residents have been invited to multiple socials and educational events since the community began collecting deposits for Independent Living apartments. Once pandemic conditions discouraged in-person meetings, the team began offering virtual webinars, book clubs and other opportunities to socialize via webcam. The waiting group of residents have even taken to Facebook to connect in a private group for depositors to share downsizing tips, encouraging stories and even a joke here or there.
Ann Fees, Sales Director for Stevenson Oaks joked, “We are already a community! We are just waiting for our building!”
