It doesn’t take long to recognize that Armando Zapata, Stevenson Oak’s Director of Physical Plant, is a special man after spending time with him. Beyond his day job, Zapata is also enlisted as a reserve duty service member in the US Army Reserves. He spent over fourteen years in active duty before taking his position in the reserves and was recently promoted to Staff Sergeant E-6. Zapata spends one weekend a month, and two weeks per year in military service. He manages all of these responsibilities along with his duties as a husband and father to his two young children.
Fellow veteran and MRC Vice President of Operations, Matthew Currie, shared, “Armando’s life is one that is defined by service to his country and to his fellow man. Stevenson Oaks is exceedingly blessed to have him on our team. This promotion to Staff Sergeant is a very big deal and it is certainly well-deserved.”
